Ron Smith, President
Ron Smith, a former foster child himself, is a partner and licensed insurance agent with Northridge Insurance Agency. Ron began his lifetime of community service as a child while earning his Eagle Scout designation, the highest honor in scouting. As an adult, he joined the Kiwanis Club of Northridge where he was elected President and elevated to Lieutenant Governor. During the 1980's, Ron was especially active in innovating programs geared toward helping deserving children, namely Santa's Helpers. During the 1990's, Ron spearheaded the expansion of Kiwanis programs to include children. Ron has assisted New Horizons and serves as an active board member for Valley Village, both organizations that assist those with developmental disabilities. By serving on the board at Inner Circle, Ron has now committed himself to helping children who find themselves in circumstances not far different from his own.
Sheila Cronin
Sheila has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field. The
last 11 years were at the Walt Disney Studios where she held the position
of Vice President of Human Resources. She has a Bachelor of Arts from
the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Communication Arts. Sheila joined
the Board of Directors at Inner Circle because, as a volunteer, she had
seen the high level of commitment by the agency to the children and the
families. She was also impressed with their desire to grow and expand
their services with the same high standards. In addition she does volunteer
work for a local animal shelter where she helps socialize the animals
and does home checks prior to adoptions. Sheila is currently the chair
of our Human Resources Committee.
John Dacey
John is a senior shareholder of Bergman & Dacey, Inc. Mr. Dacey represents numerous general contractors and owners, such as school districts, sanitary districts, non-profit and private corporations.
Mr. Dacey has been litigating complex jury and bench trials, as well as appeals in state and federal court, for over 16 years. His primary focus however is complex construction problem solving and litigation. Mr. Dacey has successfully litigated over 500 private and public construction related disputes. His clients typically build over $2 billion in construction volume each year.
An active litigator and lecturer, Mr. Dacey regularly speaks to client, trade and professional associations on various issues regarding private and public works construction issues as well as a wide variety of other topics.
Mr. Dacey graduated from Southwestern University, School of Law SCALE Program in Los Angeles in 1988 where he received American Jurisprudence Awards for Community Property, Torts, Corporations and Labor Law.
Mindy Day-Hodges
Ms. Mindy Day-Hodges is a Portfolio Manager, Vice President, at U.S. Trust Company, N.A. responsible for managing equity and balanced accounts for high networth clients and institutions. Ms. Day-Hodges has over 11 years of investment and banking experience.
Prior to transferring to the Los Angeles office, Ms. Day-Hodges began her work with U.S. Trust in New York as a Business Development Officer marketing the proprietary Excelsior Family of Mutual Funds. She was responsible for establishing and leading marketing efforts in the entire Southeastern Region of the United States, including 12 states and the District of Columbia.
One of Ms. Day-Hodges' most satisfying accomplishments has been the team she built and led through her work as a Small Enterprise Development Advisor with the United States Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa. In Mali, Ms. Day-Hodges worked to increase profitability through the subscription of members for the country's largest rural saving and loan organization, Kafo Jiginew. As a direct result of her work, member subscription increased dramatically over 60% and 5 new banks were established.
Ms. Day Hodges received her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California with a dual emphasis in Finance and Investments and her B.A. in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a level 1 CFA Charterholder Candidate; nominee for the 2006 Los Angeles Women Making a Difference Award; former Treasurer and current member of the Los Angeles Association of Investment Women; is an active member of the Los Angeles National Peace Corps Association, Rainmaker U., Riordan Volunteer Leadership Development Program; past member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York; and volunteer with the Forte Animal Rescue and Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Dorsey Kleger-Heine
Dorsey Kleger-Heine is a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. She joined the firm in 2003 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Arthur L. Alarcon of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Kleger-Heine received her undergraduate degree from Yale University with distinction in the major. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. During law school Ms. Kleger-Heine co-chaired the Auction for the Equal Justice Foundation, an organization that awards summer grants to law students to support work at non-profit organizations. Before pursuing a career in law, she was the director of an Arts After School Program in East Harlem, New York and the director of a Center for Pre-School Education in Leon, Nicaragua.
Kathleen Locketti
Kathleen Locketti has over 25 years experience in employment law, labor relations and human resources. For the past 7 years, Kathy has been acting as Vice President, Human Resources for Walt Disney Studios. After graduating from Hofstra University School of Law, Kathy began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens, NY, focusing on homicide investigations. After that, Kathy held various positions as an employment and labor attorney and HR professional with Trans World Airlines, Loews Corporation and New York Life Insurance Company.
Shont Miller
Shont is a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. Mr. Miller joined the firm after serving as a law clerk to Judge Richard A. Paez of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Miller graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School, where he co-chaired Stanford Streetlaw, an educational program serving incarcerated youth in the Bay Area.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Miller designed and programmed information systems for the Alaskan seafood industry. He is a native of Pasadena, California.
Jennifer Sedivy
With more than ten years experience in web design and development, Jennifer is currently employed with Aspen Education Group. Jennifer is also a member of InfraGard, a national education and information sharing program between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private/public sector. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Portland in Oregon, her home state. Jennifer is proud to serve the children of Los Angeles County through her work as a member of the Board of Directors and currently heads the IT Committee.
