staff - foster care

Patty Dreyfuss, M.A.
Social Worker
Patty has a BA degree in Humanistic Psychology and an MA degree in Counseling Psychology. She is our Developmental Disabilities Program Coordinator. She entered the social service field in order to try and make a difference in the lives of children who had been abused or neglected. At the time, her daughter was four years old. She couldn't imagine any harm or abuse ever happening to her. Children became her passion. Now that her daughter is 25 years old, she continues to fill her nurturing and caring soul by taking care of her foster children. "I get back as much or more than I can give and it doesn't get any better than that!"

Sayaka Shibazaki, M.S.W.
Social Worker
Sayaka earned her BA degree in Psychology from Cal Poly Pomona and her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Prior to Inner Circle, Sayaka worked as a therapist intern for emotionally disturbed children and their families, providing in-home individual and family counseling. She also worked as a volunteer classroom assistant fora residential treatment facility's non-public school that served maltreated children.

Beth Lucas, M.S.W.
Social Worker
Beth’s interest in human behavior lead her to pursue a B.A. in Psychology from Antioch University.  Recognizing her desire to work with abused and neglected children she went on to earn a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Southern California.  As a clinician Beth diagnosed and treated at-risk children and youth with various Axis I  and Axis II  diagnosis.  In addition, Beth created and implemented several mental health programs including an Independent Living Skills program for group homes, a Teen Dating Violence Program for a domestic violence shelter, and a Medications Only Program for Psychiatrists.  She has spoken publicly on Teen Dating Violence and is currently speaking on foster parenting.
Beth is entering her second year at Inner Circle and feels she has found “her true calling” working with foster children. “This is where my heart is.”  She is incredibly enthusiastic about  making Inner Circle the best agency for foster children and foster parents. “I want the children to feel safe, happy and loved.  And, I want our foster parents to feel completely supported.” She is passionate about foster care and believes “everyone should be a foster parent and help a child in their community.”
